WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING A FASHION DESIGNER?

Giving shape to leather and creating new objects starting from materials is what I love most. My heritage is working with leather, developing the entire process and treatment of the materials and reaching high standard of quality and design.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOU BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

Working the stingray leather is very difficult: you need a dentist drill to make the back side of the stingray skin flat and it is a manual work that can't be processed with machines: it needs to be very precise.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION?

My inspiration is in between the tradition of my family work with leather and the innovation in shapes and design. I also do research on new treatments on leather to obtain different effects of colors and softness, as in the line Edmos.

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A DESIGNER?

I wanted to go beyond the material and give leather a new mood, made of innovative shapes and creative solutions.
