Q+A
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING A FASHION DESIGNER?

There isn't one thing I love about being a fashion designer; it is a part of who I am and my daily lifestyle. I love creating clothes and believe that I am good at it. From the concept of design in my head to selecting the fabrics, I love the whole process to execution. I always want my clients to feel confident and at their best. It is rewarding when they tell me this.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

Each step is challenging as everyday there is a new obstacle I have to face as I grow this brand and continue to create ongoing collections. I have dreamt of being a fashion designer since I was in middle school, but even when I graduated from Parsons I wasn't sure how I was going to get myself there. It's a long process with many obstacles, but part of the enjoyment is overcoming them and fulfilling each successful milestone.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION?

I find inspiration in many things; almost everything in our lives from a building to a person to nature surrounding us. I also gather a lot of inspiration from Korean men's outerwear and costumes.

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A DESIGNER?

As I mentioned above I have wanted to be a fashion designer since I was at middle school however I wasn't sure what I wanted to design or were to begin. I feel this is something within me as a part of my DNA to design.
