Designer Story
Born in 2012, Prêt à Porter Designs is the inspiration of designer Carrie Licciardi. Translated in French as "ready to wear", this mantra embraces the essence of the line's designs. Each garment is a timeless piece for the everyday woman. The French influence of New Orleans is evident, but embedded in the name and design of the line is a piece of New Orleans that is not seen but heard.

Carrie Licciardi was born and raised in the New Orleans suburb of Chalmette, LA. Always having a passion for fashion and design, after graduating from Dominican High School she followed her dreams and studies to Los Angeles. While attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising she began to find inspiration by combing her Southern style with LA's fashion forward approach.

Graduating in 2005 with an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Design, Licciardi then started her fashion career working with diverse companies such as JS Apparel, Delia's, Forver21, Speedo, and Kentucky Denim. Eventually, like any true New Orleanian, New Orleans drew her home. It was back in New Orleans where Carrie integrated her experiences in LA's fashion industry with the roots of her true Southern style to create Prêt à Porter Designs.
