ABOUT LEEANA
"I am LeeAna. I draw. I paint. I use Illustrator and Photoshop like it's my job. (It is my job). I strongly disapprove of light boards. I cohabitate with my insightfully snarky musician boyfriend, and, as much as I like to deny it, our life resembles that of your grungy hipsters living in the trash and graffiti that make up the neighborhood of Bushwick."

LeeAna is a Brooklyn-based graphic tee designer. For the past 2 and a half years following her move from Foxboro, MA to NYC, she's worked full-time designing and producing graphic tees for big name brands, with all thanks to the company that hired her.

On the side, she specializes in raw, free-hand illustration. She prefers a style emphasizing natural gesture and emotion rather than one that considers too much pre-planned design. She is a strong advocate for those that exhibit this true 'hand' and not getting caught up in a trend. LeeAna practices philanthropy and hopes to one day be able to spread good on a larger scale

After packing up my Massachusetts life and making my way to the big city in 2011, I met with Todd Snyder to show off my portfolio. I was wearing the only black pants, blazer, and heels I owned. Luckily he's a pretty down-to-earth fashion designer.

Quickly failing miserably at being a personal assistant, I started getting handed graphics projects. Today I work at insane speeds, constantly researching and creating new, fashion-forward designs for our clientele presentations. With the guidance of Tailgate's talented creative director, James Wilson, and a few coworkers showing me the ropes, I have become a confident, 'too legit to quit' graphic designer, and I couldn't feel more lucky.
