WHAT MADE YOU BECOME A FASHION DESIGNER
It’s Dream!!! It definitely is a dream to make me be a headpieces designer. According to my experience in Bridal imaging from last ten years in Hong Kong, I realized how importance of accessories for a perfect image required. A wrong headpiece and jewelry with wrong outfit, can ruin you up even you have perfect makeup, hair styling and gowns. But if reverse, you can be the glamorous beauty if your outfit wear with a stunning headpiece. They all have relations!
My dream is to make everyone be charming by having their own personality shown even with simple outfit but a characteristic headpiece.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION? BOTH FOR YOUR MOST RECENT COLLECTION AND AS A DESIGNER IN GENERAL.
Inspiration is all around us. We can always inspired by things what we seen, we touched, and we feel. I create “when leafs goes white” when I saw the news of environmental problems in cities life, love the greens before its too late to go! And created the Empire Collection just after I saw a Chinese movie.
Ideas is all over our mind and be created every moment…!
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE?
The biggest challenge is always how’s your creations go perfectly with customer’s expectations. In order to provide a characteristically products to our customers, we are happy to provide headpiece-tailor-made services to them. We will communicate with our customers to understand their requirements, aims of function and style to be match …. etc…that would takes time to do it and of course not a cost-effective business, but, this is our spirit!! To make everyone be charming by having their own personality!!
WHO ARE SOME DESIGNERS THAT INSPIRE YOU?
Phillip Treacy is always the star in my heart!!!
HOW HAVE YOU GROWN SINCE YOUR FIRST COLLECTION?
I started my collection from a homemade products, and for 8 years later today, I am happy to have my own retail and workshop in shopping centre at Tsimshatsui Hong Kong.
I never think of making a big issues, I just do whatever I can do and try the very best for every challenge. As a designer, customers satisfactory and endorsement will give me power to moving forward and forward.
